Change to Chill at Anoka-Hennepin High School Forum

On January 27th, Change to Chill team members helped to facilitate a mental health forum with Student Achievement Advisors (SAAs) and other school staff across 6 high schools in the Anoka-Hennepin School District. About 100 students were in attendance for the full-day event, where they participated in a variety of Change to Chill activities, including gratitude, mental remix, and even meditation in our portable Chill Zone.

Here is what a few AHS Students said about what they learned from the forum:

Kaylah Smith, senior: “We all have stress and sometimes we don’t know how to manage that stress. Today we learned how to manage that. I also learned how to be grateful for everything I have because not everyone has the same opportunities.”

Malu Johnson, senior: “Today I learned how to be mindful of my environment and how to be mindful of myself when I’m stressed to calm myself down, which is very helpful and everyone needs it.”
